Commercial real estate

The London and UK property market has seen dynamic changes, activity and competition over the past 40 years. As a result, the challenges facing our clients and their lawyers have proliferated. Since our inception in 1981, we have looked after our clients’ diverse property needs.

Our commercial real estate team has the knowledge and experience to deal with all commercial real estate transactions. It is surprising how often a routine transaction throws up a tricky and unforeseen issue. It is essential that you have the right property lawyer on hand to deal with the labyrinth of regulations, laws and taxes, which seem to become ever more complex.

We advise upon secured lending acting for both lenders (private and institutional) and borrowers.

We recognise that a well-documented and drafted transaction will likely deliver on our clients’ expectations. But, equally, where there is a need for litigation expertise, our property litigation team are well able to find solutions.

We provide businesses and individuals with a personal and genuine alternative to the traditional City law firm.

Estate agents and brokers

RIAA Barker Gillette appreciates the importance of positive relationships with all third parties on each transaction. Therefore, we work with agents and brokers to ensure a transaction runs smoothly and act as a sounding board to decode any jargon.

We know how vital it is to keep the lines of communication open and keep our client’s objectives in mind. Our proactive approach ensures that transactions reach completion with transparency and efficiency.
