RIAA Barker Gillette (UK) appoints Brinda Granthrai as Partner and Head of Commercial Real Estate

International law firm RIAA Barker Gillette (UK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brinda Granthrai as Partner and Head of Commercial Real Estate.

Brinda Granthrai joins the firm with more than 15 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, corporates, and international investors on high-value, often complex Commercial Real Estate transactions. She is widely recognised for her pragmatic, solution-oriented advice and her ability to align legal structures with commercial priorities.

Her recent highlights include:

  • Leading on a share-purchase and joint-venture agreement involving a £20 million mixed-use portfolio.
  • Advising on the £80 million acquisition of a business operating across multiple commercial sites.
  • Acting for a developer in the acquisition and onward sale of a £5 million office building.

John Gillette, who previously served as Head of Commercial Real Estate, will continue as a Partner at the firm and will work closely with Brinda to ensure continuity and ongoing excellence in service delivery.

Brinda holds a Law with French Law LLB Honours from the University of Reading and completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. She is fluent in both English and French.
