Zarenna Porter

Solicitor

Zarenna studied law at the University of Leicester, graduating with a First Class degree in 2018. She then completed the Legal Practice Course alongside a Master’s in Law, achieving a Distinction in 2019. This strong academic foundation gave her both the technical skills and the analytical approach that drive her work today.

In 2021, Zarenna joined her previous firm as a paralegal in the Dispute Resolution team. This early role provided her with valuable experience across a variety of contentious matters and a practical understanding of how disputes impact both individuals and businesses. She qualified as a solicitor in July 2024 and went on to develop her practice in corporate and commercial law.

In October 2025, Zarenna joined RIAA Barker Gillette as a solicitor in the Corporate and Commercial department, working closely with the Head of Department, Victoria Holland. Her work now spans a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including acquisitions and disposals, share buybacks, company reorganisations and the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and agreements. She has supported businesses operating across different sectors, tailoring her advice to suit the distinct needs of both sole traders and larger corporate entities.

Zarenna takes a proactive and commercially minded approach to her work. She invests time in understanding each client’s business and objectives so that she can provide advice that is clear, pragmatic and effective. Her focus is on delivering practical solutions that align with her clients’ goals, helping them to move forward with confidence.
