Daniela Mensano

Senior Associate Solicitor

Daniela Mensano has been with the firm since 2015 and sits in our dispute resolution department, working closely with its head, M. Qaiser Khanzada, a commercial litigator.

Daniela specialises in commercial litigation and possesses a unique insight into this practice area, having also practised in company and commercial law. This unique perspective allows her to offer commercially practical advice to her clients in the face of adversity.

Daniela has played a pivotal role in handling high-value arbitrations, particularly in complex shareholder disputes involving a wide range of commercial issues.

With a degree in European Legal Studies, including a year studying in Italy, Daniela brings an international perspective to her practice. She maintains strong ties to Italy, is fluent in Italian, and is a member of the British Italian Law Association (BILA). This unique cultural and professional background makes Daniela an invaluable resource for Italian-speaking clients and cross-border cases.

Corporate and commercial

Banking and finance work, including advising on and drafting term loan facilities and security documentation, including debentures, charges, assignments and guarantees.

Commercial work includes advising on and drafting commercial agreements, including asset purchases, licensing agreements (including IP licences), distribution agreements and agency agreements.

Corporate work includes advising on and drafting shareholders’ agreements, articles of association, board minutes, members’ resolutions, advising on company incorporations, company secretarial work and start-ups, share and business acquisitions and management buy-outs (MBOs), share buy-backs and corporate and legal due diligence for high-value M&A transactions.

Commercial litigation

Commercial litigation work includes dealing with disputes arising out of directors’ breach of fiduciary duties, boardroom disputes, shareholder disputes and commercial contract disputes.

Dispute resolution

Dispute resolution work includes a variety of High Court and County Court matters including experience of proceedings in both the High Court and County Courts. Daniela has assisted in complex High Court disputes and injunctive proceedings and worked on a range of matters from contractual and property-related disputes to debt recovery. Daniela has experience in all stages of Court proceedings from pre-action through to trial and appeals, ADR, as well as dealing with a range of interim applications.
