Associate Solicitor
Malena Lonardo joined RIAA Barker Gillette in October 2026 as an Associate Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution department.
Malena qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2024, having trained at a London law firm, where she qualified into the Dispute Resolution team. She has experience acting for corporate clients across a broad range of disputes, including complex and multi-jurisdictional matters.
Her experience includes professional negligence claims, corporate fraud, directors’ duties claims and costs disputes. She has also worked on real estate litigation, advising lenders and LPA receivers in relation to complex mortgage repossession matters and other property disputes.
Malena’s previous practice has also involved company and financial services disputes, giving her experience of matters where legal, commercial and financial issues are closely intertwined. She brings this broad contentious experience to her work with clients, helping them navigate disputes and understand the practical issues involved.
Malena has an international background and speaks English, Spanish and Italian to a professional level, as well as French.
