Lalita Kauldhar qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and joined our private client team in 2017.
Lalita works closely with our head of private client, James McMullan, and specialises in wills, tax and trusts, lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), the administration of estates (both with and without wills) and estate disputes. Lalita’s practice also encompasses family law including financial disputes, cohabitation cases, children disputes and pre and post-nuptial agreements.
Lalita takes the time to really understand her clients’ needs and objectives at the outset of a matter. She understands the emotional stress a client can face when estate planning, being named as an executor or when contemplating a divorce. Lalita explains all the available options to her clients and puts in place an agreed action plan to progress their matter in the most cost-efficient way.
Regarding probate and trust disputes, Lalita complies with the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists’ Code (the ACTAPS Code). Similarly, in relation to her family practice, Lalita strives to comply with Resolution’s Code of Practice.
Lalita is committed to resolving disputes in a cost-effective manner and frequently uses alternative dispute resolution (known as ADR), with court litigation being a last resort in view of its costs and uncertainty.
Lalita is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
