Mustafa Munir Ahmed is a partner based in Islamabad. He handles the full range of corporate and commercial matters, representing multinational corporations, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, local companies and Government entities.
He advises a range of private and public corporations on corporate matters, including the registration of branch offices of foreign companies in Pakistan and regulatory issues. Mustafa is involved in major corporate restructurings, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions (including pre-merger approvals and filings). He has particular expertise in the energy and power sector, advising on security and finance documents relating to various independent power projects. He has also assisted with a range of exploration, development, production, transmission and distribution projects in Pakistan.
Mustafa has noted competition expertise, representing local and foreign clients, and is also a recognised expert in international trade, having successfully defended importers and foreign manufacturers in anti-dumping investigations. His telecommunications experience includes advising national and international telecoms companies operating in Pakistan, and has been involved in a number of major telecoms projects and agreements.
